Bendigo Country Practice
Five of us attended the Country Practice, at Bendigo, yesterday. Monica Martin was presented with an award marking 50 years of Bell-Ringing.
Helen Pettit has circulated an email address of a Ringing Practice Toolkit, with lots of ideas for practice nights. Take a look, and let me know if there are any parts of this you'd like to include on Wednesday nights.

Blast from the past.
A visitor today, at St Peter's service ring, was Warne Wilson.
Warne a stalwart at St Peter's during the 60's and 70's, was visiting from Queensland.
It was great to see him, an old friend; Alex Herrman, from Warrnambool took the opportunity to come up for the ring.
The Tower was full, the ringing patchy, but a good time.

Renovations
The past few weeks have seen much interior decorating in the tower, mostly due to Richard's hard work. The latest installment being very chi-chi wooden blinds. Now we won't have any excuse to wear our sunnies, except for a hang-over that is. The ringing chamber begins to look like a desirable Carlton town house. All we need now is a favourable valuation and it's on the market next week.

Town Hall Bells News of the week
Walked past the Town Hall this morning on my way to library, there was a large piece of spaghetti coming out of the ringing chamber's window and connected to a large truck making horrible sucking noises, so I guess that would mean the vacuuming of the tower is in progress today. Hooray.
